The Liberation of Le Quesnoy is an event often overlooked in New Zealand, compared to other more prominent commemorations such as ANZAC day. The Liberation of Le Quesnoy was not only a success for the New Zealand Army, but also helped to forge a strong connection between the French civilians of the town and New Zealanders, to this day. This tale, created with 2D character animation within a 3D environment, aims to promote an awareness and understanding of the events at Le Quesnoy through an animated, fictional narrative.
